What we store

When you join the waitlist we store: your email address, a timestamp, which button you used, and — if you arrived through a friend’s link — their referral code. To stop bulk signups we also keep a one-way hash of your IP, scrubbed within the hour (on the next signup) — never the raw address. That’s the entire record. No names, no tracking cookies, no analytics identifiers, no data brokers.

What we do with it

One email when Betclub launches, and founding-member access in order of signup. Your email is never shared, sold, or used for anything else. Referral counts decide launch priority — that’s the only other use of the data. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling.

Why we’re allowed to

Your consent, given when you submit the form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Giving us your address is entirely voluntary — nothing on this site requires it, and the demo works without it. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, which deletes the record; withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did with it beforehand. The one-way IP hash is kept on the separate basis of our legitimate interest in stopping bulk signup abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)), which is why it is discarded within the hour.

How long we keep it

Until launch, plus up to 30 days after the launch email goes out — then the waitlist is deleted in full. If Betclub never launches, the list is deleted and you get one email telling you so. The IP hash is scrubbed within an hour of signup. And if you ask us to delete you sooner, we delete you sooner.

Delete anytime

Email privacy@betclub.gg from the address you signed up with and we delete the record — usually same day, always within 30 days (GDPR Art. 17). No questions, no retention tricks.

The same address covers every other right you have: a copy of what we hold (Art. 15), correcting it (Art. 16), restricting or objecting to what we do with it (Arts. 18 and 21), and getting it in a portable file (Art. 20). Given the record is one email address and a timestamp, all of these are quick.

Where it’s stored

In a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare, Inc. acts as our processor under its standard data-processing terms and is our only processor: we use no analytics provider, no email marketing platform and no advertising service. Cloudflare runs a global network, so we can’t promise your address never leaves the EEA; where it does, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, which are part of those terms.

Who we are

Betclub is a pre-launch product built by Darryl and operated by The Quantum Club B.V., registered in the Netherlands (KvK 93498871), Pieter Cornelisz. Hooftstraat 41-2, 1071 BM Amsterdam. That company is the data controller for everything on this page. Betclub is not a bookmaker and takes no bets. We are launching UK-first. Questions: privacy@betclub.gg.

If we get it wrong

Tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, and if you are in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. You can go to either without asking us first.
